Maker Together

Open Electronics is the brainchild of a world leader in hobby electronics Open Electronics is devoted to support development, hacking and playing with electronics: we share exciting open projects and create amazing products! Open Electronics is not just a container of ideas: it is also a web site that is led by a team of engineers and geeks who will take part in the discussions and give support. Our mission is to become a reference in Open Source Hacking with ideas and feedbacks aimed to enrich the community.

The Maker Movement With the launch of MAKE Magazine in 2005, provided the catalyst for a tech-influenced DIY community that has come to be identified as the Maker Movement. As the movement has gathered increasing momentum, makers have created their own market ecosystem, developing new products and services. The combination of ingenious makers and innovative technologies such as the Arduino microcontroller and personal 3D printing are driving innovation in manufacturing, engineering, industrial design, hardware technology and education. Over the years, the MAKE division has become synonymous with the Maker Movement and is the recognized leader of this growing community of makers. Many makers are hobbyists, enthusiasts or students (amateurs!)–but they are also a wellspring of innovation, creating new products and producing value in the community. Some makers do become entrepreneurs and start companies. This is grassroots innovation that we can foster in every community. It’s being called the Maker Movement, and MAKE Magazine and Maker Faire are very proud of having been (and continuing to be) a nurturing ground for this growing community of creative and curious people.

We are operated by the community for the community. We are a not-for-profit organization, so you can be sure that all membership fees go towards the running and improvement of the space. We've got a fully equipped woodworking space, heaps of 3D Printers, a hefty CNC router, soldering stations, electronics, RC gear and much more. Just come for a visit to check out the place, bring a project (or two) to work on or jump right in on one of the many exciting community projects taking place. Our members are into interests such as woodworking, digital fabrication, cosplay, sewing, model making, RC planes, cars and drones, micro-controllers, robotics, coding, plastic recycling, prototyping and pretty much every other facet of ‘Making’ in its broadest sense. You are sure to find like minded and kindred spirits at Maker Community Inc.
